malcolm thoughts : map available rooms for long term people living room spaces needed for each apartment → means only 6 available r.
Valentin : saying for now he could go to actual Iklos room, proposing that Maria&co take salon-rivière ou actual Val room
Maria&co : Peru from December on until March (away 4 months) / wish to use Salon-Rivière
Claire : logical for a family to use salon-rivière, but if when you’re away that’s a big space for a lonely adult person in that space
Maria : while not here : do as it is now (salon in the salon-rivière and sleeping room in actual val room)
Malcolm : We are postponing an issue that can happen in March : lack of space. People who are willing to stay would be asked to move out in 6 months, which would be even harder in 6 months ? Uncomfortable situation for both Iklos/Valentin
Claire : uncertain status : Iklos / Valentin, but also Hannah !
Malcolm : living room in each apartment / tiny room in *manu-apartement : very small for a permanent person, and useful for welcoming people when there is not enough space downstairs → squeezing… (at the moment : Brad is there until January). Prefer to give time
Maria : We are missing Iklos to have this discussion. That discussion would go abroad – how we actually use the space. For me it goes into the mission of the mm. I feel it’s emotional, I think it would be nice to have this discussion with everybody involved. Would like to hear from Hannah
Malcolm : reminder : the question is not only who wants to come, and how many rooms we have. The question is also who is willing to be involved in the project that is the MM. Unclear from Iklos and never heard from Val that he wants to carry it. Permanent residents are going to be people carrying this project, and not only living together.
Val : totally agree to talk about, but not ready now to talk about what my position is as a non-permanent. Feel that it is bothering some people. If i have to leave it’s ok, but i think i have a lot to give to this place. ok to talk about it another time.
Maria : dedicating a whole meeting to that. Beginning of October ? Emotional issue, has to be treated with care.

Seb : carrying the project : from when, which position, is that enough to carry the project ? definition of a permanent resident ? unclear to me. and when you’re not here? and temporary resident ? Rooms : permanent – 1st floor / tempo – rez, what about the mexic ?
Malcolm : protocole online. If the will has not been proposed/expressed, we can’t consider it. Because we need these people, who have a strong wish, otherwise it’s too heavy to carry. It’s a question of workload.
(insert from Luana’s post) I’m sorry my connection keeps going on and off, I’m not able to follow the discussion… I just want to mention that it feels a bit like this discussion is going in circles.. I understand that it’s an emotional issue and that it would be nicer to have it in person rather than on zoom. But to me it feels like if we should reconsider decisions that were already taken (Valentin and kilos), they should prepare something to let us see why and how it would be important for them to stay as permanent residents. To me the deepest question is not about how many available rooms we have. And maybe we could go through the definition of permanents and temporary résidents together again
